HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM COUNSELING/PSYCHOTHERAPY?

Coaching is defined as having a mentor who assists you in identifying your roadblocks and map out the steps to achieve personal change for self-improvement. Coaching is different from other support professions such as counseling and psychotherapy. Counseling and Psychotherapy services focus on past emotional trauma which requires a mental health diagnosis in order to find relief of symptoms for improved functioning.
Coaching focuses on areas of life satisfaction, financial, career, business, and more in the present moment. Sometimes, coaching services focusing on the present identifies past emotional trauma events that require counseling/psychotherapy services to resolve those concerns, before identified coaching goals can be achieved. Should this occur, your coach will refer you to a qualified therapist as part of your coaching program.
During your initial free session, your coach will determine what type of services are best suited for you to achieve your identified concerns.
Coaching is not psychotherapy/counseling. It is not an insurance billable service.
