Anxiety Disorders

 

Anxiety is defined as an abnormal reaction to stress that assists a person to cope. When it becomes excessive, irrational dread of everyday situations, it becomes a disabling disorder. Five types of Anxiety Disorders are Generalized Anxiety, Panic, Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD), Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD), and Social Anxiety each with similar and distinct symptoms

  • Excessive worry and or unsuccessful     attempts to control worry, panic, fear?
  • Inability to relax?
  • Difficulty concentrating due to racing and/or repeated thoughts?
  • Fear of losing control?
    Inability to complete daily tasks such as driving, attending school and/or work?
