ABOUT KALLI KONTOS  

     Kalli Kontos is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) and is a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (BCD). She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and a "Love and Logic Parenting" instructor.

    Kalli has over 15 years experience as a Therapist, Program Administrator, and Educational Trainer.  She has treated clients diagnosed with Depression Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD), Addictions and Self Esteem. Treatment modalities include individual, group, couples and family therapy with an eclectic theoretical approach, determined on a case by case basis.

   Kalli is a graduate of Adelphi University's School of Social Work. She has also obtained her Field Instruction Certificate from Fordham University and has supervised students from Adelphi University, Molloy College/Fordham University, C.W. Post, SUNY Stony Brook, and Columbia University.  Kalli is also an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and a board member of the NYS Society for Clinical Social Work (NYSSCSW).

   Kalli also has experience as a Human Resource Manager and Office Manager. She has a certificate from C.W. Post 'Human Resource Management Program' and is a past member of Long Island Society of Human Resources Managment.

   Kalli speaks fluent greek. She understands the culture and is available to service the Greek-American Community of Long Island NY.
